It (May Have) Finally Happened...

Well, my mom tested positive for COVID, which means I might run the risk of catching it from her. Honestly, considering my relationship with my mom lately, it kind of figures I would get it from her.
...I hope everyone else is having a better week...
Edit: Good news: I just took an at-home test and it came back negative. So I should be okay (for now).

Hope you luck and that your mother get better soon :/ after the isolation, obviously <3
Between my dad volunteering on medic unit duty, my weekly trip to the hospital clinic, and store, and my dad's dispatcher job I am surprised I haven't caught it my aunt and her kids did.
Best of luck to you all
Whatever happens, please do everything you and your mum can to avoid blaming yourselves. For two solid years, thanks to social media and campaigns that focused on personal responsibility during the height of the pandemic rather than well-being, many developed this idea that catching and "spreading" COVID is something to be shamed for and to be ashamed of. This attitude of "I'm following the rules, other people aren't, other people are getting sick, it's their fault" is not only damaging by jumping to conclusions, but it also made people legitimately terrified about opening up about their own symptoms, in turn making it easier for the virus to latch onto others.
Your mum catching COVID says nothing about her, and should you catch it too, it says nothing about you. It'll be unfortunate if anyone catches it from you of course, but IT WON'T BE YOUR OR ANYONE ELSES FAULT.

Take care of yourself, buddy.
Keeping you and your mother in my prayers.
