I just want people to stop minding other people's business, promote programs and laws for EVERYONE's benefit, and when someone breaks a law, they are punished accordingly. And maybe more stringent requirements for politicians. There are quite a few that never should have been allowed to hold office. They really need to have them sign morals clauses or something.

Same, though even if there was a morals clause, the Dems would be held to a higher standard than the Republicans just like they already are.

I realize that this would probably result in us having no one up to the standards and who wanted the job, but if it were up to me, campaigns could only be run on verifiable facts, no political ads, debates are okay, but you can only run on your record.

If it was up to me debates would be mandatory, and political ads would be outlawed altogether. Or at least do like sports and have a 'cap' of how many can be run. And absolutely do away with these political ads that are ran by private groups.

I don't and have never liked political ads because they are always, ALWAYS, mudslinging and usually full of half truths and misinformation. IMHO, if you think you're good enough to hold office, have the courage and integrity to stand by your choices.
