There is a Moment

This is a moment of silence within me. The others are hanging around and laughing, and I laugh with them. Sincerely, too... I'm having fun.
But inside, I'm in a dark void. Not darkness that is scary or sad, but darkness that is infinite. Simply a lack of surrounding. Where am I?
I want to sit and listen to this void and listen to what it whispers. So much has changed. There's another being that fell into a crack in my hull, perfectly shaped. Now, I always feel that presence. A bell that rings, a pressure that bursts. Why do I know things I shouldn't know..? An emerald green flare suspends in the distance, always within view.
Why do I have such a good feeling? It's just.. so sure. It's so sincere. It floats serenely.
I only did this because I had to write while I floated in this little ball in the vastness of space.
Everything is going to be okay.
