I completely agree with you, that's something I've seen them talk about for a while, I'm fine with my username, but for instance I know Katelyn has wanted to change her user name for a while now, since she wants one that better reflects her, which.. Fair enough, I'd be the same if it were me.

I'd seen people having a problem with the resolution decrease for free users and calling FA greedy, but honestly..? The resolution stuff I feel like is perfectly reasonable and doesn't bother me, I mean afterall 1900x1900 a few years ago would of been considered massive, I think it's only really frustrating for people with 4K monitors, that can't enjoy the art at the same resolution, I will eventually be in that club, but.. $5 although not the worst, is still money I'd rather spend on other things, y'know? But for those with more disposible income, sure, why not?

Plus running a website can be expensive, so you gotta' imagine every huge image, is gonna cut into your storage and if you have a lot of people doing that, it's gonna put both strain on the uploading side of things, but additionally requiring the servers to continue expanding, which again will get expensive and advertising revenue is much more volatile than a paid subscription, so having both is more sound, business wise, also remember there is a huge percentage of art that is NSFW, so that's also gonna scare off advertisers.

Just on a slightly related note, I know a lot of people are PNG supremacists, but JPG although you're losing quality, the quality loss to me is so negligible, besides what you save in size, is super valuable, so if they wanted to be even smarter, they may also wanna consider pay walling certain file formats, that's what my business brain is saying at least.

By the way.. What was the needless crap btw? I know they snubbed musk, which love that, but.. What else had they implemented recently?

I mean.. At least what they're putting out seems cool enough, but at least right now, it's not appealing enough for me to give them my money, so either they need to do more or alternatively lower the price further, but I am quite frugal, so I don't necessarily blame them in this case.

So... I'm really hoping the account renaming in particularly gets done next, it was 2nd in the list at least... Plus with the extra income, they maybe able to work quicker and also be able to spend more resources on improving the website, so... We'll have to see what the future brings. *fingers crossed*
