Tumblr's been in a weird place since Twitter started "behaving" the way it has been. I notice a lot more NSFW stuff flies under the radar now, which is a mixed bag. I don't think it can ever be what it was before, even if they do reverse course there.

When it came to asks and things, I of the hundreds if not thousands I've received over the last decade, I can probably count the "real people" I encountered on one hand.

I don't blame ya for leaving there. I do wish there was something "better" out there for us creative types, but I'm not expecting much at this point.

Appears to be the biggest issue, we go to social media to post our creativity and hope to find like-minded individuals but all we seem to collect are either bot accounts or supposed sexual hookups.

It does seem that way. Shame there isn't anything better out there- at least not that I am aware of.

Me neither and even if a site was to be set up, it would be assaulted by the Sex groups who would claim that their pictures and whatnot are Art and they should be allowed to be on such a site. It is extremely frustrating. Sadly the art I do is not mainstream, so not have a big following.

I often wonder how many of the followers I have across the various platforms are just bots. I'd bet it's a significant portion. I expect that'll only get worse as AI content scraping becomes more and more pervasive, unfortunately.

I'd even settle for better search or filtering tools on a site like this one; but as it is, finding anything (even if you know exactly what you're looking for) is a nightmare. It's difficult for creators like us to be found when we're drowned out by much "harder" content that's created and posted like rapid fire.

You'd almost need like a curated gallery site, though again- how do outside people find it? Quite the catch 22 situation, unfortunately.
