Post-surgery update!
3 years ago
Well, according to the surgeon, the wound is almost closed up completely. he says it's just a lil shallow thing at this point. I got a look at it myself with my phone, but it's still icky lookin, mostly because of all the new skin that's still growing back in around it since they had to remove skin around the area too.
I got the okay to actually take normal showers again, thankfully.
Still a bit annoying to sit normally, area still feels like sore/itchy or hits me with a throb of pain if I sit too long without leaning to the side. I'M ALMOST AT THE FINISH LINE THO. WOO. so maybe in like 2 more weeks or so I'll be able to return to normal activity.
My sleep pattern has been a total mess this whole last month since the surgery. I'm already a light sleeper, so I've been up and down at all sorts of weird times, but it feels like I'm finally starting to stabilize on that front too.
Another side note that I learned from hematologist is that I've been treading the line of being vitamin b-12 deficient. Which likely has been effecting my memory, focus and mood stability. So started taking a vitamin for that for that and will see how that improves things. That very well could have been making the adhd stuff way worse.
Also, sorry I'm a doofus I haven't posted in stuff when I said that I would. I fell off track with that. I'm gonna trickle in some stuff this week and give myself reminders to make a posting schedule.
So yee, I'm in a pretty good mood.
Mau mau.

Vitamin b-12 deficient huh? Mm.. well hopefully the supplements help, though they might take a day or two to start showing results since your levels sound kinda low. <X3
Hmhm, good you're in a good mood, you've come so far~ <3
Interesting to learn all of this being a trend, based on what they told me can happen from it being low, it makes a lot of sense to how I was feeling. So seeing how my focus, memory and moods all improve over the next few weeks.
The body has so many lil moving parts and such. It's really interesting how 1 thing can effect everything else.
But yeh, lots of things effected by one, like dominoes. owo
I remember us talking about being high-strung, I still kind am, nothing like how I used to be, but that's something that'll never really change, being a jumpy ball of nerves. >_>
I also do sweat a lot when I'm exerting myself or working out. My dad actually gifted me some special shirts that make that much more comfortable to deal with. hahah. I'm usually pretty good about my water intake when workin out tho. it's just throughout the day I'm not takin in enough.
And yeah, the high-strung thing is kind hard to just make go away. Diet is apparently supposed to help that too tho.
My job is pretty much all-exercise, being a groundskeeper, however it's also seasonal as well, the cold season like this is pretty much my resting period to allow me to recover from working so much, which I use to devote my various crafts since being outside is typically rather unpleasant, either a lot of cold rain and dirty, dusty wind, two extremes. X3
Eh... diet probably won't fix mine since it's psychological resulting from abuse, though I do try to monitor my diet though, to keep my blood sugar in-check, I don't want it getting high again.. er, having that said, beware of Xmas candy, that stuff is full of sugar and empty carbs, some is fine, but too much is a recipe for disaster.. erm, that was the worst Xmas gift ever. >_>
Yeah, my high-strung issues is partly psychological and partly neurological. Either way, some dietary things are supposed to at least HELP it, which other things can make it worse. I've done a lot of on and off research into it and there are things that are supposed to help. I know I'm just inconsistent with my diet sometimes to much stuff to keep track off and sometimes I just want something that I know is bad for me. Hahah. I still eat some empty carby things, like Ice cream, but I have small portions of it to keep in check.
Making meals with smaller plates helps generally eat less. Same with junk foods. When I have ice cream, I have like 1 scoop worth in a lil ramekin thingy after a proper meal.
I eat mostly vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, and so on like that. Our farm supplies a lot of things like that and we tend to keep the junk food to a minimum nowadays since all of us here had an issue with high blood sugar, though I was the only one who diagnosed with type II diabetes, and boy I worked hard to reverse that, which I did fully.. to an extreme and wound up losing too much weight and developing jaundice because I could no longer retain enough water to prevent extreme dehydration at work.. so I gained some weight back, but not all of what there was, just enough to keep myself balanced. I'm happy this way and if it keeps me from collapsing or getting the head-spins on the job, like when i'm driving the tractor or a big truck with a trailer fulla cargo while on the interstate or highway, eh... that's really important to prevent.. X3;
Ah... my junk food of choice is chips, but one brand and flavour in particular, I think it's a southern exclusive? It's Zapp's New Orleans "Voodoo", kettle chips they are.. bloody addictive, like sweet, salty, tangy, and vinegary all at the same time, plus being kettle chips, they got that extra crunch to them.. X3
Smaller meals are something we already do, my stomach shrank a lot because of that, I also tend to ignore hunger a lot to focus on work.. I only do that for so long though, because after so long I end up getting the shakes from starvation. ^_^;
It's not a good idea to ignore hunger tho. I try to nibble on lil bits throughout the day.
Also if it's any consolation, it's been slow going on my end too, ADHD brain's a stinker and I'm still trying to get out of my own long-spanning ick. That you mention vitamin deficiencies makes me wonder, too, because I've had some similar issues with exactly those three things ;u; Brainfog and weird brain quirks are somethin' else!
But! You got this, we got this, and I'm rootin' for ya to be back on your feet soon, ya more than deserve it!
Keep on keepin on, yo! :D
