Hey again everyone! This year marks my 16th MFF and somehow someway, it just keeps getting better and better each year. 💚
I hope everyone got home and safe and healthy! I finally bit the bullet and became a Sponsor for the first time and I'd say the brunch alone made it worth it. Mainly, I just want to support this convention because I want it to go forever. It was SUPER awesome to see many faces that I didn't get to see last year and reconnect like no time had passed. I think I had the 'post-con blues' I always heard about for the first time because I did SO much visiting and hanging this year that I didn't want it to end.
My plan was to take significantly less in-con pencil commissions in the Artist Alley and succeeded, but the next part of my plan was to take almost no take-home commissions - and that's where I failed big lol. I will say, I've NEVER filled up so fast nor have I had a standby list this long before. Thank you all for taking time to say hello and get art from me!
Also, if you're on my standby list, just send me a note with your info. There's no guarantees I'll get to it this time, but I will read each and every note!

I also realize that many of you have been waiting and wondering when I'll be open for commissions for many years now and honestly it's pretty shitty of me to ONLY take commissions if you just happen to be in Chicago in December at MFF rather that just being open for them all the time. For that I apologize. All I can say is, if you want a commission - if you REALLY REALLY want it - just message me. I may not be able at the time but keep trying. That's asking a lot I realize, but every now and again, I have a moment to touch pen to tablet and the muse sweeps me up and booba and/or belly gets drawn.
True story, I approached my boss a month ago about getting less hours and possibly even going part-time for the main reason of being able to spend half of my days doing art again and taking commissions - possibly even starting up a Partreon/Subscribestar or something in hopes of moving towards being a fulltime artist someday, but I truly enjoy my job. He responded by moving me up with a promotion, a hefty pay increase, and quite a bit more responsibilities. Fortunately, I am now able to work from home several days out of the week which will hopefully allow me to draw more in my downtime but these last few years with only being able to mainly draw on 'free' weekends, I've seen my activity drop by quite a bit and I really would like that to change because I love drawing for myself and others. Anyways, just an update, thanks for reading. :3

TL;DR - I work lots and am trying to draw more cuz I'm creatively thirsty 24/7
Also I'm finally getting an Audible subscription; any recommends for book series I should be checking out? 📚
