First thing that comes to mind with your work is emotive eyes. They always seem to have a lot of feeling behind them, like they've really lived a life. And most of my favorite artists have lots of themes and styles they play with, and often "only" do sketches/quick speedpaints. Never feel bad about that! <3

Oh! thank you very much vera! i never thought of the eyes. I think it's something that's still with me from back when i started drawing with manga art. but i really appreciate that now :D

Just wanna say, branching into a variety of subject matter like you described is something that every artist should do! I don't see it as a lack of identity. I see it as avoiding a rut, and being a well-rounded artist.
Deciding what to post is a different matter. Posting animalpeople or pokepeople is of course going to get more attention on FA than other stuff, but I wouldn't shy away from posting what you're passionate about!

oh you hit the nail on the head i think! I totally agree...it's important not to get stuck in one subject and try new things...but maybe not everything is meant to be posted.
i wish there were more folder options on FA, because i also think not all subjects go along that well and it would be cool to not have to make multiple accounts for different things.
but can't have everything :,)

I think that the thing that defines you art is your linear and the way you portray figures/wings/textures. It's really unique. The themes you explore come and go and that's really you should pursue, you should always do what you enjoy and that's what I get when I see your art! Take it from a fellow artist :)

Complex, difficult, or unusual anatomy. You put MUCH more work and detail into your anatomy than most artists. It looks much more professional and less lens-flare and photoshop brush than most.

Oh thank you! it's really cool that anatomy became something remarkable about my art, since i struggled so hard with it in my early art days :D

Why would you be worried about sticking to one type of art?
I feel that's a bit like only ever eating one kind of food.

I've always felt you show a lot of your own expression through your art. You made your fly character because you wanted to. And with your art, you helped show us how you see the world. Show us how much personality there is in flies and insects. How that while monsters can be fearsome and dangerous, there is a fascination one can't deny with them. Even an approachable side.

Though, I can understand the self reflection since I do it too. I have content that goes all over the place but I think that's just how my mind is. And at the end of the day, isn't our art just a way to show others that bit of chaos?

We are not machines that are destined to just copy the latest style and produce in mass thoughtless eye candy. Those that make the mistake of doing so often burn out and have to pull themselves out of a deep rut.

A bit of structure is good and may make you feel better with some of your work, but please don't feel like you have to box yourself in too much.

And yeah, sometimes interests shift. I'm pretty sure every artist has their own "pile of shame" to agonize over of things or subject matters that they keep thinking they should go back to. Alas, inspiration is a fickle beast with no direction and one cannot help but follow

The overall quality of your art is consistently excellent. That's what's important.

Personally, I particularly love artists who explore different styles and subject matter. Why limit yourself? Consistency can become boring and complacent.

Be yourself. Keep pushing yourself. Pursue what interests and inspires you, it makes for better art. We'll be here.

For me, it's not so much the content you make so much as the way you work with colors, which I've found really fascinating. :3

Honestly, the variety in subject matter shows that you have a wide breadth of skills and knowledge that you actively apply to your work. You style is generally softer palettes, but it is nice to see an artist who are more than a 1 trick pony so to speak.

I would say stylized poses. every gesture and pose have emotion , and none of them seems to be over exaggerated. The tones of your colors and shading make a nice contrast and linework is at sweet spot not too thick not too thin and not too much :D

Might sound weird, but I identify your art by the way you draw the eyes. It's how I instantly knew your it was you in "Die Schwarze Katze". You draw them super shiny and shimmery, full of life. I know no other artist who does this. Also you draw what I like to call "(" snouts as your snouts are usually "(" shaped if they are long which makes them soft and ... you know what? While I was rambling I noticed ... your style overall can be described as soft and inviting and that is the first thing I think of when I think of your art.
It's why it makes me so happy, feels like a hug.

Then after I get over the initial fear, I just love the way you draw. The colors are soft, the lines are smooth, the anatomy is great, and topics are varied and interesting.

Please keep doing what you love. It shows through into your work, and that's what the fans love. (Disclaimer: I don't actually speak for all fans, but I'm still right.)

I think I like a certain kind of honesty about your style. You put so much effort into studies to bring out a crisp realism in your work, yet there's a subtle balance of expressive abstraction. I also appreciate that your characters bear their flaws and imperfections, it's like telling a story just by drawing a single character, makes them look very natural as well.

Clean colouring and contrasts, as well as well-placed focal points.
A little difficult for me to describe, but some other pictures are often 'restless' and the gaze wanders across the picture unfocused. With your images, the layout always feels quite well done, so it's easy to grasp the image at first glance.


Another little thought on your 'unsteady' art style. That doesn't necessarily have to be a negative thing. In times where generic fantasy art, gaming concept art or glossy anime art seem to be dominated by a few styles and at the same time AI programmes are creeping up on the horizon that already copy these styles quite well, it is rather an advantage not to be so fixed on one style.
It also keeps creativity fresh and you can catch inspiration from other directions.
