New Years thoughts!

General
I have a bluesky for a while now already https://bsky.app/profile/tinyflything.bsky.social (in case you want to check it out) and i'm glad f*cking twitter is finally being replaced with something less horrible, but yeah... i actually stopped using twitter even before it got sold and I wasn't exactly missing it? If that makes sense.
I do try and keep posting and I always liked the idea of a online sketchbook (but I'm using my tumblr for that, way less stressful and easier to use) and I want to be reachable in case somebody wants to talk to me or something (I'm sadly not the most social person, not even online :,D) BUT i think I still don't like using any "actual" social media, doesn't matter what brand it is coming from. I probably will keep posting on my current pages to keep in touch. But I want to share sketches on tumblr and HERE for the future. (I just hope FA doesn't die anytime soon...)
I never really saw Gallery-Websites as classic social media. (also old timey forums etc) they were less about gossip and attention but sharing your creation or information) And yeah, I can't hide that I REALLY miss these old dead sites.
But the old times are gone and it's fine. I don't like complaining about "current state" of things either. It is what it is and I'm glad we have what is still there!
So yeah, I just wanted to write a journal for the new years. I mentioned it on some submissions but i have my PC and photoshop back, so i can make my shitty art again (I still use procreate, but it's a bit slower. still - i enjoyed the year I worked with it! learned a lot i think)
I will try and post more here, but prob. throw stuff in the scraps? I don't know if it's better to upload it right to scraps or move it there later, but let me know if i happen to be spammy or something.
I also got asked if i would do commissions again sometimes, and now that I can work on a Computer again, i just might! But I have to see what I could offer, it's been a while.
Anyway, hope we all have a good 2025 and take care friendos :D

FA+

Here's a good 2025 for you!
And commissions you say, have to keep an eye out 👀
You picked a good time to dump Xitter.
And happy 2025!
but seriously old sites had all the drama as well in my experience
take care!
I'm so glad you still want to post here tbh. It's the only real place I'm currently active on (hope FA does well this year)
Always happy to see your work and to interact whenever we can c:
May 2025 be a wonderful year for you
I still use FA, because it's one remainder of the past net I grew up with. That being said I use it more often now since I cut out the social media sites like Twitter/Reddit/FB. Now all I use are Disco for repeat/group contact and FA for gallery views/journal interactions.
Honestly cutting out social media sites was a better move for me, mentally speaking.
I do miss how the net used to be but as you say, things have moved on. I draw more than I post online these days. I literally only post here because it's the one gallery site that hasn't changed. I still wish there was a more general gallery site that worked and wasn't crap though (I'm not a furry, I just enjoy the artwork) but there you go. I only reactivated because someone was trying to gank my username, which annoyed me and makes me glad I didn't have my account removed.
I still use Photoshop for brushes and effects! SAI for lines and general colouring and yes I'm still slow with Procreate.
Happy new year! I hope it will be a good one!
I completely agree with the way you said "the good times are gone and it's fine". It feels like the last year or two have been a whole new shift around where communities are, and it's taken some time to adjust. I too have only just started feeling comfortable with the new normal.
