As the title says, I'm at my wit's end.

I've been stubbornly silent, but almost 3 months now, I have been in a terrible situation. Back in September, I suffered a terrible injury to both feet, leaving me unable to walk, or more importantly work. Being the family's sole earner, this is the worst outcome.

I tried for, and was approved for Unemployment... but every week was denied for various reasons, the final straw being that if I couldn't be willing and able to work, I didn't 'deserve' the payments. This was on top of the vast weeks of run-around I got trying to see my doctor, having no other recourse but to wait, in terrible pain, for over a month to be seen. Best I got was a prescription for a new pain med (which barely even touches the pain) and more waiting to see a specialist. The whole time, being unable to walk properly, and self-care being more and more difficult, to the point that something as simple as using the bathroom has devolved into an hour-plus long uphill struggle. This has been made worse by a recent knee injury, limiting my ability to move even further.

In the Interim, what little savings there were dwindled to nothing very quickly, as bills constantly mounted. Now we face being homeless in the middle of winter because everything I have tried to mitigate the problem has either failed or made us worse off.

My last resort is to ask for donations. I don't like doing that because I feel I would be taking away from others... that I would burden them... and I already feel that I am being one to my family just because I can't walk... but there is nothing else I can do...

Against all odds, we managed to gather enough funds across donations at the last few days to cover rent! Any other donations would go to covering power and water.
