Hey again...

I really hoped things would have worked out over the year. Finally physically recovering almost completely from my catastrophic injury that had kept me from working all of 2023, and with the help we had recieved that let us float *just* until my tax return arrived, we were able to survive and stay housed. However, there was no positive change in our financial situation, and soon bills compounded more and more until we found ourselves where we are today:

The landlord has given us an ultimatum, pay our back rent ($4,780) by March 31st, or we're on the street.

I have been trying for several months now, tracking down leads, and doing job interviews, but nothing has solidified. I even went through the long process of looking into Temporary Disability to help cover that long gap of time, but I haven't heard anything back from them now for over a month. All the while, bills continued to pile.

I am terrible at reaching out and asking for help, but I have exhausted all other options by this point. I am unsure what else to do other than ask for donations...

UPDATE:

Shortly after I had posted this, I awoke to an honest miracle... a benefactor had paid the entirety of that debt and gotten us current.

I was honestly in a state of shock after discovering this. We are now picking back up the pieces and trying to keep ourselves from falling in such a hole again.
