People have really gone all in on AI Art being unacceptable despite it fitting in nicely with a number of other tools and technology in the past. They really fixate too much on the research datasets too, most them are building totally licensed ones for business use.

Sadly a bunch of misinformation is to blame, some outright ignorance, most of it outright lies by people who feel like their job is threatened and don't care about the morality of their actions.

It is indeed getting out of hand.

It's true that AI images have raised serious questions. I think is useless to fear and hate technology just for the sake of it, I'm saying that it's not the first time it happened and it won't be the last...or worse yet. AI images also got problems with their databases using artists works without their consent. It's confusing.

This part. I think the biggest issue is art scalping and then users taking "credit" for what it generates.

I agree. But the knee-jerk reaction of "AI was involved in anyway?! DALEETED" is absurd.

This definitely feels like a scorched earth reaction: I think it is fine to use AI as a reference for generating ideas, because not everyone can be extremely creative (or challenged to be) and when you're doing futuristic landscapes it can be helpful.

BUT: I definitely think if it is some generic big boobied lady with the stupid slightly open mouth and the person posts it, says they're an artist and you can tell they put PHYSICALLY no work into it-- yeah, go ahead and delete them.

I'm seeing furries over on u18 post generated images and patting them-selves on the back like they ACTUALLY did something. They still reheated a frozen dinner, or at BEST made Hamburger Helper and want to act like they're a cook now. It's so superficial. I detest it.

I was told that works with any AI components whatsoever, would be removed. And I said 'then that exact stipulation needs to be stated in the policy.' Well, now it is. Absolute idiocy. I'd love to see them try to rationalize their stance but we both know they can't.

Absolute clownshoes. There shouldn't be any problem with using your own content to generate something. Paint overs still use the artists skill to paint over it so that hardly seems wrong. People use other peoples photos or stock art for backgrounds... Its innane to forbid anything ai touched, especially when there isn't even any ethical concerns involved.
