Midlife crisis moment. Music from like the 1999-2012 hit hard and you can't change my mind. It was kinda that dawn of electronic pop music where they experimented with themes and a lot of unique stuff came out of it.
Like the songs nowadays are fine and all, but idk just feels like something is missing and I just don't connect the same way. Maybe its the nostalgia and memories of a better time etc. I'm sure if I ever have kids they'll all call these songs lame :V
Looking for validation from my fellow 2000s music fanclub members :V , got any favourites? Mine is definitely like Bad Day, a couple of the Gaga hits, or heck viva la vida was always really good.

FA+

That is why I fondly remember many songs from that era. Here are some of the songs I love:
Missy Elliot - 4 My People
Black Eyed Peas - Where is the Love
Pink- Raise your glass
Safri Duo - Played-A-Live (this one is special because it was the song used for real-life Sammy, the hawk that inspired my sona)
Puddle of Mudd - She Hates Me
Eminem's Without Me
... I could go on forever, haha.
As an 80's kid I actually enjoy a lot songs from the 60's and 70's because my mom used to listen to them when I was little. There are good songs from any generation, you just need to look for them.
if you ever utter the line "I was born in the wrong decade" then I may have to tie you up untill that Phase passes :P
but yeah
The music was great
even if it does make ya old
sure there are issues and imperfections in lots of stuff, but seeing it through the veiled lense of nostalgia you're much more willing to overlook it yeah.
Nostalgia is great, old music is great, new music is great.
its all about just finding what uh...Vibes with you, and there's a satisfying and exciting appeal to that too.
Nothing wrong with it.
or very early Gen Z if you were born in and after 1995 lol!
Honestly I protested a lot of the music during that time frame for being boring and mainstream trash and a few pieces i have come back to enjoy. There was a TON of trash drowned in more trash during the time leaving little to no legendary artist. Many one hit wonders, and even more impressive are those who finally GOT their fame during that time frame and are still making music today.
I would say having a chance to just LISTEN to the music during that time without having to worry about other people's opinions makes it better. I'll admit to even loving Tokio Hotel xD which was kinda a German Emo Band? Newest stuff is kinda meh, but their first album slaps real good imo.
Like when someone calls someone a karen, thats just a way to summarize a lot of info, I dont have time to like go through and learn everyone's life story the brain can only rememberu p to like 190 people anyways.
While I am not the most social of people, that would be what most refer to as "picking a fight" and purposely fishing for a response. So there, you have it.
