Yeah I've Got No Excuse Update

ALRIGHT I promise the next journal won't be so far apart!! Holy crap 9 months.
Though, that said, I haven't posted anything in those nine months past the small splurge I put up yesterday. But, I think I'm coming around to something again so let's hang in that orbit until I pass out of there, whenever that'll be.
Don't think anyone was curious but the Ren'py project fell through about a week after I posted about it. I ended up helping with a Gain Jam project later in September (largely as a writer, UI designer, and the title maker). We ended up almost dead center in final scoring, so I'm proud of that. Soon after that I revived an old DnD homebrew project that I started a few years ago. Trying to learn from my past mistakes this time, I scaled back my ambition (to varying degrees of success) and so far have been running sessions weekly with some close friends. It's a satisfying project, and largely it's helping me reach a healthy balance of creative expression and other aspects of my life. Rather than the usual hyperfixation into burnout pipeline I usually live.
I've also left Twitter for Tumblr again, roughly the time the Idiot took control. I haven't regretted it yet. Twitter's great for art and quick updates, but it also feels very corporate. Tumblr's got those failed mall vibes that I dig. Like, people still actively use it so it isn't a straight financial loss, but also at this point nobody's going out of their way to build over it or otherwise. It's just there and its time has passed. Not really a bad thing though. Hoping it sticks, who knows. At the very least it makes me laugh and doesn't depress me somewhat often than Twitter ended up doing.
Still working on art. Digital has been a great format for me. And there's a story I did for
41dn that I did a few months ago that I haven't posted yet. I made an icon for it and I need to edit it a little bit more for final approval, afterwards I'll have it up here in the gallery. I'd say sometime this week since I'm making a solid effort to be active again.
