But as soon as I got there I started having one of the worst anxiety attacks ever. I had to leave in less than 2 hours. TBH I have no idea WHY I thought this was a good idea, I knew this would happen. I really am the dumbest yeen

It was probably a case of too much too fast. I'd recommend starting with a local meet and working your way up.

Idk which ones you've tried, so I can't vouch for them. Maybe have a friend take you to one next time. At least you'll have someone that can help you adjust to the shock. Otherwise there's not much I think you can do. Experiencing the fandom is shocking at first and it tends to smooth out over time
