Yes i think here only platform Not allowed AI. Since almost ALL Staffs are Artists and can understand all's concerns about it as they decided against it and stand asides with all artists/community~ <3

There's also Cara.app (may allow AI once it's more "ethical" whatever that is) and arrrt.io (no AI at all?) but they are both more like Artstation alternatives.

Same. I can see all the quality stuff there that's otherwise drowned in social media text posts. And I too feel so amateurish among those giants, but honestly don't care enough to let that stop me. 😂

i don't want to compare myself either, but i mainly do doodles and quick stuff, it just doesn't feel like it fits on websites with fully rendered professional work. but it's fine XD at least i realised, i don't need to be everywhere~

It's good to take a break once in a while. To consider second opinions and help digest thoughts etc.
I'm very happy with FA banning ai shit. Yes FA is far from perfect, but I don't know how someone can consider leaving a dedicated art gallery site with an nsfw filter and banned ai, for shitty social media sites and think it's better than sliced bread.

yeah, FA has it's fair share of problems. but on this topic they really outshine all the competition :)

Glad you decided to stay. Your art is amazing and would be a big shame to see such a good artist go into the underground! And letting some steam out often helps. I don't think anyone can seriously blame you, or any other artist really, for so much pressure that the whole drama around AI adds.

People have to realize and start to respect the effort that artists put into arts to make a living out of it. If it wasn't for the artists and their creations, AI generators would be nothing but a bunch of machine code. And regardless of how good the output of those algorithms is, the outcome is anything but art. Art is a luxury. Artists are sharing their creations for everyone to see free of charge. Those who want personalized experience gotta pay for it just like for any other service in this world. That's just how it is, no one owes anything for free and people should learn to respect and value what's given to them and not accept it as granted. End of story!

Like others said, FA is not perfect by any means, one could debate if it's even good. But they did the correct thing by not allowing AI art (I don't even know if I could call it art myself, since the definition of art itself is "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination").

Regardless of all of that, I'm happy to see you back. I always appreciated you as an artist and I enjoy seeing what you create.

I missed the original journal so I don't know exactly what it was about, but I'm glad you changed your mind. I've seen multiple artists delete their accounts and all the work with it, or just give up on art altogether, because of AI and it's incredibly frustrating.

oh man yeah :/ i was considering scrubbing my internet presence completely, but i waited a bit to let the emotions calm down and talked with lots of other artists and art enthusiast to come to the conclusion that i really don't want to do THAT. So yeah, I'm glad too i changed my mind :D

Your art is one of my inspirations, and I was reluctant to say anything since it sounds dumb and like a suck-up, but I was heartbroken when I saw you would be quitting. I'm glad you're not, but I'm still very sad you believe that was your only possibility.

To offer a bit of a perspective, maybe. I have spent more than 10,000 Dollars on Commissions on FA. AI art will never be a substitute to me for employing real artists, because the material I need needs to be specific to the last pen stroke, and coherent in style. AI just can't do that. It might be able to create something that is 90% there, but to me that just means it got pretty far in a failed attempt.

and ... tbh yeah. i don't commission much, but if i think about it...i'm the same. i mean i can make my own stupid art of my stupid characters and i STILL want to commission others, just because i want specific art from a specific artist. that will not change with AI ever.

I hope you post again! You've been one of the artists that I first found here on FA that still influences me! I know how it feels though. I have long intermissions between drawing and not drawing, posting and not posting. The art life is a cruel one.

As far as AIs go, I look at them as another artist tool, not a threat. Because I've commissioned other artists myself, I know the effort of getting your ideas and characters across as accurately as possible, and that's with a PERSON. I've played around with AIs to see if I could get it to draw a description of what I'd want for a commission, and it couldn't even do something as simple as a fish. AIs won't steal our jobs, but we can use them to inspire us, and I love typing in creepy shit and getting grotesque imagery that ALMOST looks like it could be art, but it just needs some help. If anything, I'M the one stealing from AIs.

I feel enough people appreciate the fact thay art made by an actual person has more meaning and weight. Don't stop posting art, please.

I know the feeling... I'm not a huge fan of AI "art" either tbh... Pretty terrible that they think it's okay to steal from artists tbh... I've been taking a break from Twitter for this reason since it can get pretty loud. That being said, I always loved your art!
