Specifically on the 26th.

Normally I don't even bother mentioning my birthday, both in real life and online, because I've had enough of them already that it feels like the only thing I'm celebrating is not being dead (though, in Las Vegas, that can feel like a monumental accomplishment).

But this year I decided to make an exception because-

#1: I've already seen a lot of other journals in just the span of a week making mention of another F.A. user's birthday coming up (happy pre-birthday to all of you as well).

#2: It's occurred to me that this one actually will be special because it'll be my first birthday alone. Or at least the first one without one or more of my immediate family shitting all over it.

It won't be the best. It won't top when How To Train Your Dragon releasing into theaters right on the date, and it will be topped by the first one I spend somewhere other than Las Vegas. But it will be the first one where I actually get what I've been asking for over thirty years.
