Also wound up finally getting a modern phone because this was the fourth time in only a week somebody said "Download the app" as if it was just a given that I had a phone that could do that.

I've resisted screen culture for a long time, but this made me feel less like standing defiant against Vox and the Vees and more like I was a Palestinian throwing rocks at the Israeli tank.

But if you can read this journal, it means it worked out as intended and I have internet at my new place. So now I just need to clean out what's left in the old apartment and turn in the keys to it, then I can finally get around to brainstorming ideas for all the commissions I'd put on hold.
