This is about recent abuse of the law and censorship- don't bother reading more if you are allergic to rational thought.
This is just BS rumors at this time, however this is a time of old worthless hatefull inbred antisocial idiots still running the world, so a good chance its true-
Supposedly as of now, anyone in the UK having chibi yaoi, chibi furries, or anything anthro featuring sex or nudity of any characters that does not look overly manly or isn't overly featured females is breaking multiple sex offender laws.
Also rumored FA staff has just decided to either ban UK users from adult use or remove all of anything resembling cub or chibi art. (though probably out of fear rather than hostile power abuse if true..)
This means only ONE more step until furry adult art is considered illegal bestiality.
Look up Demagogy on wiki or real encyclopedia books or just read some history.
Personally I don't care so much about blatant cub smut, but this can affect chibi and toon art, for example- bugs bunny porn would be subject to the laws, as those big eyed super-deformed anime adult characters too, meaning owning such as Dragon Ball dvds could be technically illegal.
Forefathers of the US were aware that unreasonable laws to ban personal rights on things that involve no violence (eg. art, speech, expression) were the elements of totalitarianism, which is why the USA was founded, to get away from these religious & government superpowers, history shows that's what quickly starts brutal law based countries.
Being able to be arrested for fictional art or stories IS the end of freedom, from that point you no longer have the right to criticize the lawmakers responsible, this is their tool to dispose of those who do not agree by mere opinions of those in power.(say they can easily fake and manufacture evidence against you, the media will parade you up like you're Hitler 2.0, and the stupid loyal viewers will believe it without question)
This would be the breaking point.
That means people would need to fight this by forming and joining freedom protection groups and take said lawmakers to court, the tactic is usually to make these fascists lives a living hell by bombarding them with legal problems.
So, only *IF* this happens, you should raise hell, bombard them with legal action, gatherings, then abrasive disapproving mail, hell, I'd even suggest riots and violence if this eventually goes too far (banned nude art or even porn of all types, as in puritan laws), you can't keep your freedom if you don't show you're willing to destroy these pricks to protect it.
UK users shouldn't worry too much though, if there's anyone with balls and brains there this will be overturned, though I might suggest some password protected archive file or encrypted data card to store your fur porn, but that's recommended for ethically harmless stuff, if you have anything extremely illegal they can still charge you until you give them the passwords, but of course that's a problem if its a file you weren't aware of, forgot, or contains rl rape, gore etc stuff.

It's not about who watches the shows, it's about the aparant age of the character involved. Anything looking like a child, is considered illegal. Anything that looks like a non-child = not child porn.
That's really it. It's not about shows for children, or characters from childrens shows (She Ra She ra!)

I'm not sure how it happened that the issue changed from raping kids to pedophilia in general. I'm willing to bet the vast majority of pedophiles have never touched a kid and are never going to, but they get thrown in the same category as all the ones that do. the real issue is not pedophilia, it is rape and sexual abuse. drawn porn does not involve either, does not harm anyone in any way, shape, or form that I can see, and therefore should be legal. again, pedophilia is not a problem, rape and sexual abuse is.
A little more complicated on the other point, yes there's a big difference between a pervert and rapists & murderers, the latter are far more dangerous.
There's plenty of famous people that were probably them (creator of astro-boy, probably a certain Mr sweaters tv show guy, etc, but they haven't harmed anyone, for one thing Japan is pretty much pro anything sex, and yet they have one of the lowest rape and violence rates in the world, because they don't ignore addressing it properly, rather than sweeping it under the rug.
But abuse is the point when some adult takes advantage of someone not capable of knowing what they're doing and is left hurt, thats as bad as causing someone to become crippled damage-wise, but that applies to vulnerable adults too - you don't have to be a kid to be abused.

It was a while ago that I did my "WTF are they thinking?" research on the topic, but if I recall correctly, the Aussie standards for CP is simply the inclusion of a child (or character) that appears to be under the age of 18 in a sexualised context, including fictional and cartoon depictions where no actual child was involved. It seems like nonsense to me, IMO if there's no victim, there's no crime, but evidently alot of the worlds higher-ups disagree with me.
It's very confusing that the people in charge can consider a drawing of a clearly inhuman character as harmful as videos of a man sexually abusing children. I find it a little unnerving, actually, that the people that have trouble seperating fact from fiction and reality from fantasy are the same people that have all the power.
I haven't heard about this UK situation until now, but I hope its just a rumour. Being personally against censorship, it frustrates me a great deal to see any part of the world take a nice big step away from the freedom they claim to strive to achieve.

My point being that when the government uses fear to push for control, there's bound to be at least some support, regardless of whether logic enters the equation. It could be worse, at least most people have enough freedom to question such decisions (but god forbid you make jokes in an airport), although it probably won't do much good if these people don't have any power. It might one day change, but for the time being all we've got is a bunch of people pursueing their own agendas by targetting things with the rationalisation that it loosely links to something most people dissapprove of.
