Got detoured on the way to Ypsilanti yesterday, but got the NAV to tell me where to go and arrived about 45 minutes before opening ceremonies. We were outdoors for about three hours as the K9 units were brought in. Fortunately, it was a bright, overcast and cool day weatherwise. Many took refuge in nearby restaurants. Someone sent out for pizza and the hotel staff brought out coffee. There was a lot of deer scat on in golf course, and we all did our best to avoid it.

The con charity--The Pipsqueakery--evacuated some of their larger creatures. The miniature goats skipped and romped in carefree style. It was four o'clock when the All Clear was given. My panel on model rocketry went ahead as scheduled.
