MCFC Actually Moves To The Motor City
Some weeks ago, I checked for MCFC 2026 online and found nothing until today. They've changed locations to the Detroit Renaissance Center--fancy! (I was hoping for a return to the Westin in Southfield.) The traditional dates of late March or April have shifted to mid-February. That's right, Friday the 13th! Winter driving conditions could factor in, though we've had some mild winters in recent years.
Registration fees are seeing a bump plus ample parking for $25/day as one example. The city of Detroit also has a reputation going back decades (See Kentucky Fried Movie) though it may have improved somewhat. At first glance, I may have to sit this one out or limit myself to Saturday only with a day pass.

OP
To be more exact--the con hotel is the RenCen Marriott. Landmarks like the Detroit Renaissance Center are easy to locate. My concern is likely driving conditions as there was another furcon here in MI in February: GLFC 2014--Grand Rapids. Nearly hit another car on the slick roads.
