update or something
I've been posting new entries in stories from the Wild Moms/Town collections I've been working on every Tuesday, but... well, the end of Wild Town is up now.
Didn't feel like it made sense to just drag it out because it doesn't seem to really be gaining much engagement, so... oh well.
I've written a few more things that are technically "in universe" of that series, but are more self-contained within each story, since people seem to prefer that. I'm currently debating whether I'll post them in a way that implies the relation or just... kinda throw them out there as their own thing.
Been feeling kind of a lack of excitement for new projects, in general, lately, so we'll see what comes in the future, I suppose.
If you've read anything I've posted so far, thank you.

My apologies that the first journal type post from me you may have seen after finding the stories was this one haha but I’m always glad to see/hear that others have found my work and enjoy it!
As for engagement, I will speak for my habits as a reader and say I don't usually comment unless I really enjoy a piece or am invested - I imagine most people see what you've got going on, read it, enjoy it, and go consume other media without doing/saying anything. I could be wrong, of course!
One last thing; there is a possibility you're also running into the issue with any large, shared universe. Some people see everything is connected and just move on, not wanting to catch up (I've definitely missed out on stuff in the past for that reason). I think you do a good job of making each piece stand on its own, so if they miss out on your stuff, that's on them!
Anyway, I can't wait to read the finale to your latest series and look forward to whatever you've got in the works for the future. As always, thank you for sharing your work! I wish I had a quarter as much motivation as you - maybe I'd actually sit down to write once and a while myself!
I am terminally always in a project, so when I start to feel like something I’ve been working on falters it really bothers me and bums me out. Same with sharing said projects and watching for response and such.
That and all kinds of other life things I think just recently pushed me to a point where like… well I wrote this journal earlier today, sooo…
Because of that “always need to be in a project” feeling, I’ve usually turned to your point #1 and tried to change up the ones that I am doing and try out something new, whether that be in setting, tone, premise, etc.
Currently, I even do both photo morphs and this writing back and forth, so it helps switch gears at least somewhat most days.
The aspect of like, long-form content in a shared universe or a multi-chapter long piece is definitely something I’ve noticed. One mistake I think I made with the recent Wild series was that I numbered each entry. Part 1, 2, 3, etc. With the Lansdowne Motel ones, I very explicitly didn’t number them to try to break that subliminal thought process of “oh man this is one super long story that’s so much” and make it feel more like “oh here’s a bunch of stories, guess they share a location or theme or something maybe”.
With the ideas I have for pieces set in the world of Premenitech and Enzamorph beyond what’s up now, they are most definitely rather independent of each other, so perhaps that will be easier to approach.
Only time will tell
