I've never done that. Because afterwards I'd be left with a bunch of tomato soup, of which I'm not a fan.

Weirdly enough, im typically not a fan, but I’m sure it depends on the cheese used. Had one with American, didn’t sit well for some reason. Where I work, we serve one that has pepper Jack, cheddar, and provolone, haven’t tried that, myself, yet.

I like the little bit of extra kick that comes with pepper jack. Even when I use cheddar or the like, I sometimes sprinkle on a little bit of crushed red pepper when the toasting is finished just to add a touch of that kick.
