Never Use SecureSpend Prepaid Gift Cards
Hey guys, Todd here with something I feel should be brought to everyone’s attention. Yesterday, I was hired by the manager of my grocery store’s bakery department to do cartoon portraits of customer’s who wanted them for their 10th anniversary celebration. I worked my booth for two hours and did portraits for six people during that time.
At the end of it, I had earned about $200 in total. And from here, this is where I made a terrible mistake. Because i did not live anywhere near my nearest bank, and because I wanted to use the money, I earned to make some online purchases, I bought a prepaid gift card from the same grocery store I did those portraits at and put $196 on it. After heading home and taking a three-hour nap, I went to the website written on the card and activated it. I then purchased four items from ebay, which would have come out to nearly $95 in total, but because one item was cancelled, I only ended up paying only $65 or so for those items.
After that, I did not use my card again until today, when I tried to purchase something else with it, I was unable to and the error message said my card was not valid and that I needed to check my information and/or my available balance, so I tried to do just that, but I got an error message, saying my card info was incorrect, except that I knew it was. So, I did some research to investigate what this issue is and how I can resolve it. But as I did, I began to realize that I had more than likely been scammed and after stumbling across this video, my suspicions were proven correct. So now, I have more than likely lost $130 of my hard-earned money to some asshole scammers in India or someplace. So, on top of having to find a way to recuperate my losses, I felt I would put this out there, so this does not happen to any of you guys. Never use SecureSpend Prepaid Gift Cards at all, if you value the money that you are about to put on there and do not want it to be stolen, just do not use those prepaid gift cards. In fact, I would recommend doing your research on this stuff, so that you do not end up like me and many other victims of this scummy operation.
But other than that, I hope you all are doing well, and thanks for reading this entry.
