Most of my shinies in all my playthroughs have been accidental chance encounters :P This game has been arguably one of the easiest for shiny encounters after Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon's Ultra Wormhole method

I got really spoiled by the shiny rate in Legends Arceus too; especially since they make a sound when they spawn

YESPLS I miss hearing the “dalalaLA!” and the star animation! There’s a shiny fletchinder on my team rn that was caught as a fletching; if Moxie hadn’t pointed it out I wouldn’t have noticed it was shiny

I've got scarlet, managed to complete my pokedex with every single one caught in a standard pokeball. Also have Violet but haven't truly started it yet.

It’s only REALLY BAD when it’s one of the impossible to distinguish ones like Regice. I was DREADING Regice, then he showed up in less than 20 resets. Terrakion took a month! x.x

Oh you have AMAZING taste. Slither Wing and Walking Wake are my favorite Scarlet Paradox Pokémon. Iron Valiant is my fav Violet ‘mon honestly. But ScVi was pretty fun minus some of the weird issues. I’d love to be able to connect to Home at some point, but the game itself was really fun!

Not sure what starter you went with but they’re all cute in their own right. Me thought? I needed my ghost baby, so Fuecoco was mine. Torch Song is such a good move! And I finally have an Eelektross after never getting one between Black and White and now. He kicked major ass during a few of the Team Star camp battles. I forget what they were called. lol

My starter is Sprigatito! We’re heavily involved with cat rescue as a side job and I haven’t been so in love with an entire starter line since Popplio! She’s a Floragato rn (I play VERY SLOW for immersion lol ) but I’m gonna let her hit Meowscarada in about five levels because ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. BUT I ALSO LOVE FUECOCO AND QUAXLY. Arty masudaed a shiny of each for me that I’m also saving for DLC. The shiny Quaxly was quick but Fuecoco took forever so his name is Goose XD

Dude go Arty! I suck at the Masuda method for some reason! The four shinies I got (not from giveaways from a YouTuber I watch) were either full odds (which startled the crap out of me), hunting in an outbreak, or this one random ass Psyduck. Legends though? I have almost the ENTIRE dex in that shiny. That game is soooo nice to me on shinies! Plus giant babies, I love giant babies. 9’ tall shiny Gengar makes me happy. Also awwww! I actually love Sprigatito’s line, which is good because I was kind of afraid it’d go the Litten route (it’s fine really, just not a huge fan of Incineroar). lol Awww, Goose sounds cute! Reaper, my starter, is a beast thankfully. Managed to beat a few gyms just by himself.

And hey slow is good! The game has an AMAZING (to me anyway) story, the Pokémon are awesome (Flamigo’s a beast? Shit, kinda wish I’d kept mine up with the rest of my team then lol), and I like the graphics. It definitely needed more polish, but they’re good entries into the franchise. I’m just waiting for the gen 5 remakes right now. lol

Oh my gosh if they do Legends style Gen 5 remakes that would be AMAZING. ORIGINAL DRAGON PLS?? but I’m wondering if we’ll get a separate Legends style offering like Alola (I’d die of happiness) and the BW remakes will be more like ORAS. I also keep hearing rumors of Let’s Go Johto, but who knows?

I have an alpha beautifly and alpha purugly, neither of which can transfer to ScVi and I’m SO SAD. I wanted to ride Purugly like BattleCat

Oh amen! I so wanna know what that’d look like! I hope so, I enjoyed Legends Arceus! It was like the perfect mix of Monster Hunter and Pokémon that I’d always dreamed of. Minus the damned Voltorbs. lol But that’s what I want in a Pokémon game, to be able to lob balls at them without going into battle, and just run around these vast areas and see giant ass Pokémon. Alola and Johto would be really good ones, getting to see the original beast trio before they died in the fire would be fun. I’m just sad and want them to send bloody Ingo back to his own time.

Oooooh! I made the ugliest noise getting a shiny alpha Haunter (now my Gengar, Agnes). The legit shiny alphas I’ve managed are a Rapidash, a Steelix, a Quilfish, and a Skuntank. The alpha bit was what got me, it was scary at first but now it’s like “I want more giant babies”. I wish alpha Clefable were bigger though.

oh HECK yeah, gen 9's the most fun I've had playing Pokemon in a long time! First one since Red and Blue I've completed the Pokedex in, too, and started to shiny hunt for a few faves :3
