I keep going to make a journal talking about the things that have happened, but I always end up deleting it. I think I’m afraid of pity or something, I dunno, but either way, it might just be best to gloss over it for now. Instead, I think I’ll do a small summary about the positives.
- The kids: All growing into amazing, creative people that we’re insanely proud of. All three of the older kids are artists in one way or another. Val is 13 and one of the FUNNIEST people I know. They have the quickest wit! They’ve also gotten into suiting, with a dog character named Levi. Moxie is 10 and a fiend for science; I think she’s going to go into entomology. Meriweather is 9, an incredible artist and a huge fan of gaming.
We also welcomed our youngest, Kismet, in March 2020. She’s 3 now, and very into music.
I adore these kids; they keep me going
Cats: since 2020 we’ve returned to special needs cat rescue on the side, working with our incredible friends at the furry fandom homegrown group Rocket Cat Rescue. Although Blue Dog (Booboo) is the only cat remaining from our Old Guard, we’ve still got some great feline company. I have an ESA again; his name is Dolby Purround Sound and he’s one of the coolest cats you’ll meet.
Recently we’ve been fostering a mom and her six kittens, a few of whom are still available for adoption! We’ve gotten to be there for these guys since their first breaths so this was a really special experience.
Toys: LPS is still one of my favorites, but it’s on a hiatus so I haven’t actively collected any for awhile. Currently I’m especially obsessed with Bumbumz so I’ve just been sticking with those. I’d love to connect with fellow Bumz collectors because holy moly are they coming out with some cool ones.
Art: I’ve started active work on a pilot for Meet the Sunspots, and will be looking to bring on cast and crew in the near future. It’s my big dream to get this done and I’m hoping to find folks that are interested in working with me on this. I’ll be looking for writers, boarders, etc but I’m wanting to have funding to hire folks on properly first. Really intent on doing it right.
Aside from that, I’m not sure what all else to say. Arty and I just celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary and it feels like the first still.
Oh!! Yes, almost forgot. My name is Cecil now :)

Joyous anniversary felicitations!
(BumBumz... Too damned many dumbass jokes to say, so let's not say any of them.)
I didn't know until your post that you've been working on an animated pilot for the story of your furson-family together, and having been a hearty fan of your visual storytelling going back to your illustrated webcomic in the late 1990s or early 2000s, I would adore seeing you and yours in your furson guises and family-group brought to life in an fully-animated and voiced motion production.
I'm still early in my journeyman work as a voice actor- mostly plenty of practice, learning how to use my microphone on its boom arm and tooling the settings for recording at the input device and at the software recording end, as well as editing, foley work and post-production on a experienced hobbyist level with my computer as the audio recording and processing platform, but if you'd enjoy my joining in to help with the voicework or hearing provided samples of my voice recordings, I'd very much dig joining in if you both would have me take part.
Good to hear from you herein, good chummer Cecil-D, and thank you as well for +Watching me a few days ago into the bargain.

I've also done plenty of recordings of my own, including some singing, and one recording I'm very proud of is my providing vocals to a downloaded karaoke instrumental of the song Faith Of The Heart, composed by Dianne Watson and originally performed by Rod Stewart for the wonderful Robin Williams movie Patch Adams in 1997, covered first by Susan Ashton, a Christian Rock and folk artist in 1999 for her album Closer- a treasure of mine is a gently-used single for her version of the song, with her song Spinning Like A Wheel as the B-side, that I bought on Amazon from a seller in Calgary- then the most famous cover of the song by Russell Watson in 2000, for the theme song to Star Trek: Enterprise.
I've got that recording put up on my DropBox, and I'd like to share the link with you if you might enjoy the listening.

thats amazing and congrats to you!!!
Also, best of luck on the pilot!
My storyboard experience is very limited but I do technically have some-- I doubt there will be ANY shortage of awesome people who would be excited to work with you, but if (when the time rolls around) there's an opening in that general area that has to be filled in a pinch, please feel welcome to give me a holler!
