Yeah, I know it's a mascot/news account so it's not even a real person. But FA's continued use of that account is allowing at least one psychotic purity troll to feel like they have complete freedom to pull the most blatant bullshit they want and do so anonymously.
The amended "policy update", plain and simple, is just an expansion onto the previous bullshit -- is just something else that has been debated to death so the purity trolls got rid of the debate -- that is so very obviously intended to enable them to target all of the accounts that survived the previous volley of bullshit.
But I especially loved this part:
"These changes were well-received-"
Really?! The month-long shit-show that followed was it being "well-received"? The exodus of artists who announced their departure from F.A. and the barrage of users accusing the admins of being deliberately deceptive -- of having purged the message boards just so we couldn't remind them we've talked about this before dozens of times in the past -- was "well-received"?
Fender's basically become an evil version of Unicorse. Only we don't know who's got their hand up Fender's ass and there is absolutely nothing funny about it.

Tho unlike tumblr, FA was already unpopular and basically was holding on because of the eroitic furry community that didn't care enough about better websites cuz "Well, I'm already here, and so are my friends." (Which is why twitter won't truly die until the transition to X)
