I don't think they're doing it just 'because'. Most likely some politicians are enforcing some laws that are meant to prevent sexualizing minors and FA has to oblige in order to not end up at the court.

Sofurry had to take a hardline stance against it about a year ago, and it was a remarkably similar series of events. The initial change was communicated and justified poorly, received some pushback, and then people shut up when the site admin said "no, you don't understand, I literally have a letter threatening legal action on my desk."

the real issue is people who can't/don't want to differentiate fiction from reality, these are the problem, not the fictional content

You can't say 'Fiction doesn't equal action' in terms of murder, then go on to say 'Fiction does equal action' to cub art. Pick one, or the other.

Again, swap the subject to murder porn and the question makes no sense.

You're speaking of this from your own perspective using your own emotions and opinions to project some kind of fact that simply isn't there. Separation of fiction regarding art is one of the fundamental pillars of being an artist/art consumer. I don't really feel like arguing about it, if we can't agree on it then it's pointless.

I wouldn't get comfortable here because now they are banning artist who haven't posted in years but because they post things they dont like off the website

TLDR, feels like they're trying to alienate users and destroy the place for some moral points, seems no one learned anything when SF pulled that exact same move, many users deserted the place after it ended up in threats over fictional drawings of fictional characters in fictional situations
