FurAffinity was taking feedback on the new policy update in their discord server. I have archived the complete thread, because it was just announced that the thread has fulfilled its purpose and is now closed. They are planning on deleting this thread entirely at some point, due to the nsfw nature of the topic and the server being child-friendly.

Thanks for this. I'm never gonna join their discord and subject myself to their moderation techniques on an additional platform, so this helps me keep an eye on what the conversation looked like over there.

They really didn't want people to discuss this there in the first place. When I first learned about all this, it was when someone got banned after asking about it, when the policy first dropped. Really weird that the only official place to have discussion about furaffinity can't have 18+ topics normally.

FA really needs to realize they can't be both an 18+ and 13+ platform. Them trying to be really hurts this site in so many ways.

I wonder if it was always 13+18+ from the beginning, or if the age requirement changed at some point. If they changed it to be 18-only any time before 2018, all the teenagers onsite that could have been grandfathered in would be adults now.
