My Thoughts After Re-Watching the ALIEN Series.

ALIEN: Still a fantastic movie and one I find myself watching rather frequently. I love the gritty feel of the Nostromo and its crew, and it goes without saying that the design of the derelict craft and the alien itself (I kind of hate using the term xenomorph to refer to them) still hold up.
ALIENs: I enjoy ALIENs quite a bit, maybe a little more than the first. I like the setting of Hadley's Hope, the Marines, and the Queen alien's design is top-tier. I've recently started to listen to the novel adaptation of this movie. While it's made some weird choices, such as removing some harsh language, it's an interesting look into what ALIENs could've been in another universe.
ALIEN³: Alright, so I'm just going to say it, I enjoy this movie. I think it's mostly due to nostalgia, as this is a movie I saw when I was a tad too young to be watching such things. The convicts on the prison world being mostly British might add to my enjoyment, as I myself and from that miserable little island. I enjoy both the theatrical version and the assembly cut, and though I disagree with some choices made (no spoilers on the off-chance you've not seen it, but those who have can guess!) I think it's a good time.
ALIEN Resurrection: This is... well, a mess. I enjoy aspects of the movie, but it isn't one I find myself needing to re-watch as often as the others. I think the aliens look great though. They're all slimy with a cockroach-ish colour scheme, it's great.
Prometheus & Covenant: I like Prometheus as its own thing, but I really can't get behind Covenant. I also can't stand David, and not in a 'good' way. I think he's a silly character with silly motives that belongs in a sci-fi melodrama, not a horror movie about facing the unknown horrors of space. I think the Neomorphs look cool though.
So yeah, just my thoughts. I'm not a movie critic so I'm sorry if they come off as jumbled, I just wanted to share, you know?
Ciao.

FA+

Prometheus I was indifferent to and I have not watched Covenant.
The Neomorphs look neat, but that's all I like about it.
And yeah, the first two are certainly the best of the bunch!
Of course, if you like the movie, that's great! I know a lot of peeps enjoy it, and that's fine. It's just not for me.
