An old goal, but finally done.

So this isn't going to be as dramatic as the title may sound. I finally finished the quadrilogy of Sonic games from my childhood days. When I was little, I was given Sonic 2 for my Birthday and despite my efforts I never finished it.
One friend of mine had Sonic 1, so I got to play very little bits of it (Never further than Marble Zone).
In high school, another friend had Sonic 3, and another had S3&K.
I never even saw a Mega CD, so Sonic CD was pretty much a myth for me.
Last night I finally sat down and played all four games to their conclusions and in the aftermath it felt good. Though I will admit, Sonic CD is the only game in the series that I have played, that I legitimately hated at the end.
Overall though, good vibes.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy CD. It's not one of my top picks, but I've noticed I liked it more on each return. I feel the level design is very much suited to repeat visits/in depth searching since the different time periods and robot generators/metal sonic holograms help facilitate that.
It's not perfect by a long shot, but spending more time with it and finding those touches that the devs put in really gave me a better view of what they were going for, instead of blasting straight through and only worrying about time stones.
Dang, I should replay those sometime...
And it had a good start, but a few things early on started to put me off. Coming from aweome boss tracks from S3&K (Looking at you big arms & Doomsday) to listening to that freaky laugh track in CD, what happened there??
The music from Wacky Workbench though, (NA version) that stood out as one of the top tier tracks! And yes, the hopping between past & future was an interesting touch. It took me a few attempts to figure out how to get time stones...
You should! Old school fun :D
The US one has its moments, but also has just as many which are just... "what" inducing.
I hope you enjoy it more in the future, regardless! It's a grower for sure.
Once more, congrats on finishing them all!
