"Child" (and Baby) are left-over from when Digimon was a tamagachi toy and don't reflect how they age in the series currently. Supporting this, Ultimate / Mega and """Ultra""" came later in the series, creating the issue where "Perfect" isn't actually Perfect, but they left the names alone.

This is one of a multitude of reasons why, every single time the admins proposed banning underage characters in the past, we always said "We get why. We're just saying you can't."

No, seriously, we cited Pokemon and Digimon as examples of non-applicables every single time. And even Digimon itself doesn't take those labels all that seriously.

Yeah, they "can", so long as they don't mind the site crashing and burning as a direct result. It'll be something between Tumblr banning all nsfw (destroying whole communities by taking away a space they were assured was for them) and Furry Life Online melting down (because people treat anyone who disagrees with them about where the lines of acceptable content should be drawn like a complete monster).

The admins are in the process of learning the hard way something that, frankly, should have become common knowledge for everyone by now: Censorship will never be perfectly enforced.

Keeping the rules vague and/or fluid invites whataboutism; for people to complain over and over "you said this was wrong but not that" over and over and over.

Make the rules clear-cut with a well-defined line, on the other hand, and people are going to deliberately get as close to that line as possible.

For example: A movie will get the NC-17 rating if it has four hundred or more swear words in it. Want to hazard a guess how many swear words were in the South Park movie?

The best possible approach is the latter: To make the rules clearly defined and just accept the fact that there will occasionally be trolls testing those limits. Which is what F.A. originally did with its stance on underage NSFW, to which the trolls started up with the "vampire loli" stuff.

But instead of just sucking it up and accepting it, or drawing a new line on the other side of "vampire loli" and seeing what comes after that, they had the administrative equivalent of a temper tantrum and plowed headfirst into this shit.

And I have no sympathy for them because, as I said, we warned them every single time they toyed with the idea of this in the past. Over and over and over.

Renamon is absolutely indispensable, there will be riots in the streets if they ban Renamon XD
