It was a big thing a year or two ago. They were a small content creator who came out as a zoophile. The rest of the furry fandom immediately shunned them.

Part of the reason I was reminded of Sappho was that the design vaguely reminded me of Sappho's vr character. A fluffy lizard dragon thing. I had kinda wondered if there was a specific place you both grabbed the name Sappho from that depicts a creature of the same description. Like how cerberus is now both a category of creature and one specific creature.

Vaguely yeah I can see that! And haha nah, there wasn't any specific place- I have a list of names on my computer where I nab names with cool meanings or just ones I find neat- I liked Sappho because it derives from Sapphos/Sapphic meaning women loving women (i.e, lesbians lol) so I thought that name was pretty neat!
But i'll keep in mind now to use a different version deriving from Sapphic rather than "Sappho" 😅
