Heyo there everyone =w=
Slow-at-uploading-char here, just wanted to write this small thing here to say in regards of the new site policy that you all must be tired of hearing by now that this account is gonna see a lot less usage in the close future, lol.
I'm gonna be uploading as normal (Hopefully faster than the last times xD) over here until the date when the new rule will enter into effect. At which time I'm gonna delete about 90% of my gallery, since MOST of my stuff won't be allowed xD;;;. I'm hoping in the time Dragoneer will change his mind, so I haven't given up on the site yet, but if not, I'm not just gonna ditch this site, but I'm indeed not gonna be able to upload most things I draw here...no comic at all and almost no draws in general x3;;;
So yeah, if you want to follow my stuff, I have had an Inkbunny for quite a while now -- https://inkbunny.net/Vitrex -- where you can follow me so you can get notified for everything I make xD, otherwise I also cross upload myself into e621 as well. Haven't considered any other site as of right now and probably won't for quite some time more. I'm more concerned with the comic at the moment like to spread myself around more xD

FA does sadly seem like a lost cause when it comes to any cute stuff :/ And they never backed out on rule changes I believe...
Also yeah, it's been 2 weeks since the announcement and no backtrack, so I'm not holding my breath ;w;

On that vein, I'm unsure if they'd take tons of pics replaced by the same thumbnail as lacking "artistic merit" and deleting them all themselves </3
Checking the "Upload policy", on "enforcement" it talks about "stacking", which I imagine means that the punishment either extends or upgrades to another category of punishment inmediatly. Considering I'd have hundreds of "violations" from "artistic merit" I feel it'd be an inmediate ban xD. I doubt they'd be giving me +500 warnings for each piccy.
That does sound annoying tho, the fact that to delete pics you have to put password everytime owo;;;;, I thought you could select multiple at least kinda how Inkbunny does it...maybe I saw that and assumed FA was doing that at some point |3;;;. This is all quite the bummer, lol.
I AM gonna try the thumbnail thing, but I'm also saving each page just in case I get destroyed by FA mods xD

"What do users see on IB's main page? "Popular submissions" first, then "New submissions". And the popular ones tend to cycle the same users as they post. Nothing bad in that by itself, many of them worked many years for their skill and notoriety, but in my eyes it pushes new or less known artists aside, making it a notch more difficult for someone to break through."
Adding in to that: I looked recently. Some artist uploaded multiple pages of their comic as separate submissions. All were in the "popular uploads" which skews the system. If an extremely popular and known artist dumps 300 pics at once, they could feasibly take up the whole "popular" section. If I had any coding input, I think I'd set like some kinda submission cooldown like either only one per X submissions can appear in the popular section or X submissions per Y days (or other measure of time), but these might be too punishing. Or let the users control the layout of the front page.
There's also the... current thing? FA calls pokemon underage. I know all of my characters are consenting adults but the ticket said no, my celebi is "baby". I don't want to be in a situation I've seen happen multiple times: People with smaller pokemon ocs being called pedos and then when they go to IB it's like "HA TOLD YOU SO YOU'RE ON A CUB PAGE"
So for now I'll stay with Pixiv and maybe try Itaku

I guess I can see what you mean with the stigma associated to IB, I had totally forgotten about it tbh, considering ever since I joined it seemed like I wasn't stumbling upon so much cub stuff at all. It also helps that the site has a blacklist function, so everyone joining there can just use that (Akin to the usual comeback I hear to people complaining about certain submissions on e621 xD)
About the Popular section, I think it's okay if some "popufur" gets to be front and center on the Popular section from them mass uploading old stuff, I mean, they are gonna run out of it soon enough, so them hogging the front can just last so long.
Eventually most other submissions will push that stuff away, it's how I have seen month old pics appearing on the Popular section out of nowhere. It's just a matter of time when someone will search for something, fave some underdog made and then more people would see it from that guy's faves, pushing it to the Popular uwu
Not a perfect system, but it's better than to have nothing!. I personally almost never use the popular tab and mostly look at recent uploads akin to how I browse e6. But that's just me!

I am like, super out of social media, so I have missed these sort of things, but at least I haven't seen anything mega weird in my comments or others in the site. So as far as it concerns me it seems to be a pretty normal site.
They even have rules against shota stuff, so maybe things improved since then. At least that's what I imagine, not even now I know what people think about how current IB is managing itself

E6 has a lot of shota too indeed, tho they get away with it because it involves some furry character in the same pic |3c (And as far as I know human shota is also not allowed in IB unless heavily censored)
If anything, reading the guidelines they talk about how cub art isn't allowed. Sure it says that unless the artist states that the characters are underaged then all is fine, but it highlights how encouraged is to have "aged up, well known young characters" and how people using loli/shota/cub tags is prime for them acting against you.
That was how FA was working out before!, so hearing the same sort of line in this other site and seeing how in their "about" page they talk about getting advertisers...it kinda makes me feel at unease about them eventually deciding against characters that their mods will see as young |3;;;
But yeah I can understand that concern, just I know a lot of people are moving there who draw pokemon/digimon, or well, cute styles in general.
if anything, I just took this as an opportunity to spread my work out on more sites than I did before, personally.
Honestly I might consider making a profile there, but I'll wait some time at least
I have heard others talk about Itaku these days and seems like their site is having trouble with the amoutn of people moving in.
Maybe by now it's all settled down, but I wouldn't want to push the system more than necessary uwu
Even if it costs me my profile name, in case it gets taken, lol!
