Updates 7-7-2023

So I just finished a massive piece of art for a dragoness character I made up named Lynet. I figured now that it is finally finished I can move on to rule34 projects that have been scratching at the back of my brain for a while now. I wanted to update people here on FA with plans going forward. As I said in my last journal I am trying to get all my other art galleries up to date. So I will make sure they are linked below. I am still posting art on here obviously, Just I will be cautious with digimon or stitch content going forward.
As for the content that I was told to delete here on FA, well I haven't yet. I asked in the ticket if I had to do it or if they would and I was told they would prefer I did it. It is gonna sound stupid to say this, but I just have such a hard time deleting it. Honestly I am really attached to just about everything I draw, so when it comes to deleting stuff that I am proud of, I struggle. I know they told me to do it and I mean no disrespect to the staff here on FA at all, but I don't know if I can. I might need to let you guys do it if any of it becomes a problem. I am not looking to stir up trouble , it is just a tough thing for me to do. I might be rambling at this point, but I figured I would give everyone an update as to why those images are still up on the site. I really hope I don't get a strike for it or in trouble, it is not my intent. Art is just such a personal thing to me that it can be really tough to delete stuff. Going back and reading comments people have left on pieces of art really helps motivate me. I hope that makes sense....anyway thank you everyone as always for taking the time to read this and the tremendous support. I really do love this community.

And nothing of value was lost.
It also sucks that FA doesnt have a Download My Data feature so you could at least download the comments along with submissions before deleting.
This kept all the comments and such of people who.... are no longer with us.
That they can't be on FA just means that - they can't be on FA. Which is a shame, but you can still display them in another, perhaps personal gallery? The experience and joy of the draw itself can't be taken away from you.
I mean, I get it.
If I liked a piece of hardware, tech or kit, and it has to go, I will be sad for throwing it out. Sometimes I even thank it for its service >.<.
But yeah, if you wanna save the comments and the art offends FA's eye, then put a placeholder image in there (or archive it, as Blitzdrachin said, or both) and keep it movin'
Since they can't be bothered to address feedback there is very little reason to do the work for them.
Lots of artists I follow seem to be joining recently and seems to be a fresh and functioning site to post all your stuff.
With all that said, if the images are genuinely that much of a problem to them, I'm sure they'll contact you or take action themselves. If you're not comfortable deleting the stuff you drew in the past. Then don't. If it's not harming anyone, or bothering anyone, then I see no reason as to why you can't leave them there for viewers to see.
As for digimon and stitch content, as well other potential stuff that has similarities to them, as I said in another post, it really comes down to how you portray them, and which one's you draw. For example, no one's going to bat an eye if you draw Flamedramon because of their adult like appearance, but because of Veemon's small size they may see it as problem, even though personally, I see no issue as long as they're portrayed as mature and not childlike.
Likewise, you can also just age up characters to avoid problems too, for example drawing Tulin from Zelda ins NSFW content as he is, would undoubtedly raise some alarms, but if he was portrayed and drawn as an adult, then there wouldn't be any issues.
In the end it just comes down what you want to. Whatever comes to mind, I say go for it, just be cautious with how you present the character of your choosing. Other than that, I think you'll be fine.
Regardless, the choice you make should be done in the best of your mental interest.
All the best Narse! Keep it up!

It's a great site and growing quickly. Would be great to see your stuff there!
I should probably use the gallery importer too.
It'd probably be best for you to go over the gallery and remove anything that can be considered questionable (I know that probably means some of your fanarts would take a hit). Outside of that, use your best judgment.
From what I recall back in the day, the staff would warn you about rule breaking material and give you time to delete it (or delete it themselves) but they stopped doing that years ago and will just give you a instant week long ban.
It's kinda crazy to me that they really expect people to go through 10 to nearly 20 years of art in their gallery, for those that have been here for awhile at least, and expect them to hunt through so many problematic art featuring a certain character, for a rule that really came out of nowhere that nobody is happy about, when the characters that might get you into trouble varies based on the mod cause the staff don't really have a proper list and give different answers for the same characters most of the time.
Replace the work with something silly and add a link to a dropbox in the description. That way you lose nothing *and* you have no illegal art here either. As if such a thing exists.
Hold yourself and hopefully continue your great work 👍
