...when another piece of media comes up with an idea you came up with much earlier? But because it came out first AND is popular, it's going to be well-known for doing that thing! So great! That's just swell! Maybe if I get my stuff caught up, then around 2050, it'll seem new and fresh.
This reminds me about something that I think it's called relative creation theory, that all invetions and creations will be done regardless of circumstances. Example, if someone like Edison would die before inventing the lightbulb, that wouldn't mean we wouldn't have one at all, but some other inventor would create it after a certain time delay.
With how things are, attention spans are so short that memes come and go without really...enjoying them. So I'm not surprised if old ideas are seen as new or refreshing because it feels like it's been "so long" since the last time it was implemented.
Anyhow, this is just my paranoia speaking, I realise that there's a limit to creative posing and angles you can capture the human body in, so if some images look very similar, it's not a big deal, also I'm not that huge of an artist for people to care enought to start a witch-hunt like that~
