You can't really blame the other party for having the same concept and putting it into fruition, you can only just blame yourself for not doing anything with it beforehand~
This reminds me about something that I think it's called relative creation theory, that all invetions and creations will be done regardless of circumstances. Example, if someone like Edison would die before inventing the lightbulb, that wouldn't mean we wouldn't have one at all, but some other inventor would create it after a certain time delay.

Yeah, I get that...problem is, when you're in the midst of working up to it, it's easy to be overshadowed by a property that doesn't have long term build up to introduce said newer concepts. But I guess that's how it is sometimes...Well, at least the intention is to be its own thing rather than to chase trends, so even if it is a similar storyline, I'll have a clear conscious that I wasn't doing it because it was the "in trendy" thing.

Unfortunately thats how it is. You can't be expected to absorb every new and old piece of mass culture and know about its existance. I have similar thoughts about the art I draw, mainly the poses and angles... I draw everything from my own imagination, but there are chances that a different artist had already drawn a very similar scene in the past and by sheer accident someone will stumble upon it, then he will confront me or start spreading rumors that I do copy content from hentai CGs~

That's crazy. Usually you can tell the difference of art styles. It's why Toriyama, Oda, or Araki stand out from the standard anime stuff out there. Even in furry stuff you got someone able to make the most detailed butthole you'll ever seen sketched out. Some can have similar styles and draw some of the same popular characters but the type of content is where it differs. With you, I haven't seen anyone been able to have anything remotely similar.

With how things are, attention spans are so short that memes come and go without really...enjoying them. So I'm not surprised if old ideas are seen as new or refreshing because it feels like it's been "so long" since the last time it was implemented.

Oh no, I meant poses and angles, I didn't meant my art style, I know it's unique since I develop it myself without any outside "inspiration", not to mention my choice of traditional media that is not favorable for digital hacks. Like copying body parts or entire bodies, between pictures with just changing some details to make it look new. I swear to God, this is why I don't want to commission digital artists at all, but finding good quality traditional artists is so freaking hard nowadays.
Anyhow, this is just my paranoia speaking, I realise that there's a limit to creative posing and angles you can capture the human body in, so if some images look very similar, it's not a big deal, also I'm not that huge of an artist for people to care enought to start a witch-hunt like that~
