Tablet Issues (Updated)

Receiving Transmission...
My Wacom Intuos Pro Large tablet I got in 2015 to replace my stolen Bamboo is doing things that is concerning me. A few days ago I plugged in the USB cable into my PC and got an error message about a "device malfunction" and the tablet suddenly stopped receiving inputs from the pen. I then downloaded and installed some drivers from Wacom and it seems to make it work. However, my PC would suddenly stop detecting my tablet even though it is connected and getting power, only working again if I restart my PC.
All of this is making me worried. Is there perhaps something wrong with my tablet drivers, the USB connection or is my tablet possibly dying? Anyone got advice on this? I would appreciate some input from you guys.
UPDATE: I think its sorted out. I had to completely uninstall, restart, reinstall and restart the tablet drivers. In addition, I'm using the tablet's wireless function as well. So far, its behaving normally again, but I'll keep a careful eye on it. Thanks to everyone who offered advice, much appreciated!

I did swap out the cables and switched on the bluetooth function on the tablet. The cables made no difference, but I haven't had trouble (yet) on the wireless.
(well, Drivers are cheaper, but you DID those)
You could check your PC for any updates on that end, too.
I decided to also nuke the drivers completely and reinstall them from scratch, since I went and installed drivers over each other, so maybe a clean sweep will make a difference.
Hope you can fix that problem 🥺
