So I hear Boosty is leaving...
Friend of mine told me that VK is looking to buy Boosty, which would probably make it unusable for anyone not in Russia because of sanctions. Maybe folks will be switching to EasyStart after that...?

I can't see this just for the record, if it isn't touching their comment they won't notified of it.

I'd be surprised if the went through, considering how people think of them nowadays.

Damn i hope this doesnt happen, boosty is a really good platform :(

I think it will happen. China's 'WeChat' showed everyone what a powerful combination it is to be both a social platform and a payment processor: Not only do you lock in the social aspect, but you also lock in the financial aspect. Between those two things, can it be argued that you don't have intimate details of a person's life?

Lots of artists (me as well) already switched to EasyStart. From my experience it's more convenient and takes less fee, also there are no fraud refunds (that was the main reason why I prefer not to use Boosty anymore)

I've been using EasyStart as a buyer of art. I really like it and the actual payment processor behind EasyStart, Stripe, is well-known in the USA and commonly used by small businesses.

1.5 year passed since russia attacked Ukraine and russophiles still searching how to pay for "innocent" russians. It's hilarious!

I've heard of this situation, but I don't think you should panic prematurely. Although it is right to prepare for the worst and look for alternatives.

Yeah, for now it seems Boosty is still working and used by many people
