First off, I would like to say that the future of my craft on here seems a bit uncertain. Do not worry, I won't be abandoning the account or cease uploading stories or anything of the sort (though, I'm sure it can feel that way with my inconsistent uploads.)

Rather, I've been considering a change in pen name/internet handle, so that I'm no longer having to share one with one of my characters. It may take some time, but I'm sure it will do wonders in dispelling any confusion. I will still wear the same con badge though, why not after all?

Of course, I won't be able to make it fully official, I'll probably have the same username that I came up with on a whim when I joined, unless someone on the site's staff finally gets around to adding a function to change it. But never mind that.


I'll post an update on when I have a name picked out. Until then, I suppose you could continue to refer to me as "Hania" if you wish.

Speaking of uncertainty though, I think it's time to come clean on a matter I've been keeping close to my chest. For the question of whether I could make it happen or not seemed like a toss up at best for the better part of the year.

Should things go smoothly in the next couple weeks, I will be attending Megaplex this year, in spite of it all.

Admittedly to feeling a bit anxious given all of the draconian anti-LGBTQ+ legislation which has passed in my state, among the many other ways it has been dragged through the mud. No matter how bad it gets however, I can't let fear rule my actions anymore, and I want to be there for those I cherish.
