So, I've been on the down low for the past three weeks. I'm sure quite a few of you know why that is. But, to keep a long story short, I ended up being hit with pneumonia and went septic days later. It pretty much knocked me on my arse and seemed to be getting worse each day. I went to the ER, and had to be transferred to a hospital in Miami where I stayed for what ended up being two weeks. Over the course of which involved two procedures (one of them surgical) to drain the fluid that had filled my lungs.
So I was basically lying in bed with a tube in my side for over twenty four hours. While this was all going on, I kept in touch with
Vixyyfox and was giving them updates on my condition, along with other furs who had long become something of a chosen family.
And well, one day I chanced a look at my FA page on my phone and found my shoutbox full, I guess as much as I wanted this all to be on the down low, a certain fennec fox had put the word out.
Truth be told, I am very grateful. It did make that period feel a little easier to bear. And while I'm still kind of out of it, I'm definitely on the mend at this point.
So I just want to say...Thank You.

It has taken a bit longer to slip back into my creative pursuits, but I'm gradually getting a handle on it again.
Had a very good friend here go through almost the identical situation. He was coming back from overseas vacation and picked up a bad cough that just wouldn't clear up, and get worse. Ended up getting fluid drained during a hospital stay as well.
Thankfully he's fully back on his feet now. Wishing the same recovery for you!
