...Not that I would blame anyone for arriving at that conclusion. Even by my standards, or lack there of, there really hasn't been that much going on in this neck of the woods, so speaking. Well, in truth, quite a lot has happened. Some of it for the best, and much of it not.

I hope those who's lives have been uprooted by Hurricane Helene are able to get food, water and power, and a roof over their heads. We were fortunate enough to only get caught in the outer bands, but I realize that is very much the exception, and for a lot of people it has been far worse, especially as efforts to offer aid has been repeatedly obstructed. I know, no shit right?

Regardless, we aren't out of the woods yet, with Milton on the horizon, time to buckle down or get out, if able...best I can say is that at least it doesn't seem as powerful as Helene (only a category 3) but with the storm surge, things could still wind up being pretty dire.

I apologize for the lack of substance here, and my unwillingness to go into things as much, but I just wanted to reassure people that this account is still alive, if in a bit of limbo.

This is precisely why I do not post journals so often...
