I personally don't like Twitter and hence don't use it. Furthermore, Twitter is completely unsuitable as a gallery for artworks. But surely your art will reach a broader audience there, which partially weakens my own argument.

I believe it depends on what you want to achieve. As said, Twitter is not meant as a platform to publish art. There is only little ability to search for specific artwork, and it provides a terrible overview over your gallery. However, I know many people exclusively enjoying art through Twitter. And undeniably, the chat system is far more advanced than FA's (It's not hard though, the FA note system is, mildly speaking, outdated.)

To conclude: If you want a platform to publish your art in the best way possible, Twitter may be unsuited. But if you want to maximize your reach and want to gain new followers, give it a try. The worst thing that can possible happen is that you'll delete your account again if you are not satisfied with the experience.

And last but not least, a personal note: Whatever you do, I would appreciate it if you would publish your art also here on FA. It's not perfect, yet I'm active here, and I do enjoy your art a lot. :3

Oh, I really like FA and I definitely won't leave it. Yes, it has its disadvantages (as it was said about the note system), but it suits me in the convenient management of the gallery and finding interesting people with interesting characters. I'm just looking for where else to develop and where it might be more convenient for people to be

I echo what ertghym said. Twitter right now is a mess, I have been spending more time on Bluesky and Tumblr, and while the latter still has ban on porn it still light-years better than Twitter. Bluesky is slowing replacing my use of Twitter but with the site in beta is gonna take a while until it can be usable for everyone.

And in Tumblr have an old account that recently turned 6 years old. I haven't been there for a long time...

While I don't personally like Twitter... Arguably, the more eyes you reach the better so I can't say something like it isn't worth it at all based on my personal dislike.
On that note, I do not have a new pair of eyes to give, sadly, but I'd follow you on there xD

The Twitter interface is incomprehensible and unfamiliar to me, and I considered it as an option for posting pictures and communicating with people.. I just want to find some option where people would feel comfortable watching artists and communicating with them C:

Have you considered running your own Discord server, if you're wanting to interact with people, or something like that?

I wouldn't reccomend Twitter/X at all
I thought about posting there but honestly, there's so much bs going on, you basically have to buy the varification to get any reach at all and a lot of taggs are rigged as well
I was never active there so I can't tell from experience, but what I heared with so many people leaving, I doubt it's a good platform to get reach and I personally don't think it's worth supporting rn
I'm hoping that bluesky is a good option to expand, it's definitely worth a shot (unlike twitter)

I only use twitter for raffles from artist i follow who do raffle twitters. Besides that i usually dont use it except the occasional promotion posts. I feel like its dying and with the whole Twitter blue thing, unless you have that you probably wont reach a lot of ppl but i could be wrong about that. im only going by what i heard about twitter blue and other things about twitter.

most artists i follow are switching to bluesky which is like twitter but you need an invite code for it. I havent used it so im not sure if its a good alternative or not.
