After 14 years, I have deleted my twitter.
14 years 76,116 tweets are now gone. I HATE that I had to resort to this... It actually upsets me greatly.
Why?:

I do not concent to this. I do not want 14 years of my personal content to train his pathetic AI.
Bonus, There is more shady shit such as this:

Where will I go to dump WIP's and other posts of such? I guess a bit here, and a bit everywhere. Tumblr, Masto, FA, DA whatever, I will be sure to update my links on my FA if you want to find em.
I noticed a lot of people are jumping to BlueSky, but I will be honest.. Why the fuck do I want to join another entrepreneurial tech bro shit show made by the same dipshit who made Twitter in the first place? I made an account, doesn't mean I own my account.
What prevents this from happening again? I am probably going to be focusing on my Mastodon. I actually own my account and its host You can follow @Flute@magpie.gay it here if you use it. https://magpie.gay/@Flute
BlueSky.. Well you can follow that here. Will only be crickets for now. I might set up a bot to post mastodon posts on it for me in spite. https://bsky.app/profile/magpie.gay Seriously though, you can do better than this.

I hope Mastodon works out for you, personally all I see on these sites is politics and I'm damned tired of seeing it so much that I can't be bothered with them.
How it will work remains a mystery, but since it contains personal data, it will be abused.
I don't really see any politics on my Mastodon feed.. If at all really. What instance did you sign up for?
As of right now, it is still in beta and is still just the one specific "bluesky social" instance, but the open protocol is the center of development.
Combine that with them being an investor-funded for-profit corporation (whereas all the competitors are non-profit community projects), and them having already put in their first paid feature, I think it's not difficult to see why some would be kinda skeptical about this whole thing.
I get why it's hard to leave that behind, it's like the end of an era.
While in its infancy and looking to move in a different' organizational direction from Xcrement, Blue Sky has been welcoming. Your FurAffinity page still has people (Like me) who keep eyes out for work, and with tools like Postybirb it's not that hard for cross-posting I'd think.
GDPR.
I've fully committed to the fediverse now. Centralized/Capitalist social media is a failed society and it peaked a long time ago. I don't want more of that same product.
Anyways went to check your account and saw I was already following! I think it's really cool that you went for hosting your own instance. I'd kind of like to do the same at some point for fun homelab experimentation, but I think I'm going to need another dedicated machine for that.
AS for Mastodon, was surprisingly easy to set up your own instance if you are okay with the basics,~
