This one is controlled by a real person rather than an AI, but yes, easy to scam people by pretending to be an artist with some credibility. Those people should truly jump off a bridge.

I banned this person from our SWFL telegram group a few hours before you made this post - I saw you were Aussie and immediately banned it lmao. Unfortunately this is an ongoing issue with scammers who are involved in check cashing fraud.

I feel like it’s one person in particular, this account popped up as soon as the other one was deleted. That other account popped up as soon as the one before it was deleted. They all have the same speaking mannerisms but they are real people, not bots.

I closely watch the accounts because as soon as it is deleted, another one will pop up and join again. They’re using real or similar names to the actual characters/artists they’re impersonating and going as far to set multiple profile pictures of the same character to give the look of an “older” account.

There’s not much people can do but stay vigilant and not fall for sketchy scams. Reverse searching the images is usually the easiest way to confirm it is a scammer. The account will be deleted within a few days once they realize they’re not getting anywhere with this one.

I am unaware what this person has said if they have at all in that group. If that is the case if they are trying to use my name to do scams.

I only made a small assumption that it was character theft based on their profile description being somewhat personalised compared to mine being blank. (I should probably fill it out later on.) So far it still exists, but they changed the name to something similar but use my profile pictures.

Anyway, thank you very much for banning them. I am happy to see people act quickly on this, it is appreciated. :)

I will never understand how these people function. What kind of shitass parents did they have to raise them to the point where they think this sort of behavior is ok? 🙄
