Met so many new good beans! Had a blast despite the high temperatures and getting slightly sick (Sore throat and cough from shouting/talking so much xD)
First time getting Grumpy's suit out and about, and people seemed to like him; especially the local fuckin' kids! Me and
got SWARMED on the tuesday and couldn't get away for like fifteen minutes xD
I dunno if I'll go again as the temperatures were just... too high for my health.
And there was alot of mistakes being made with communication, scheduling n such that I just don't expect from a con team twenty three years in... including changing events last second and not posting about it ((Fursuit parade being cancelled then not multiple times with no updates or warnings on the twitter page or schedules... fursuit photo shoot being moved about then suddenly last minute held outside despite the boards saying it was in Con Hall 5...))
All in all it was a positive experience.. but nowhere near as good as NFC is, despite costing almost three times as much to attend it...

It was hot indeed and I also had to limit my fursuit time and general activity. x_x
Didn't expect too much from EF this year, but I was positively suprised that it still was a good con. I still favor NFC, too. But EF is not out of the race yet it seems.
I wouldn't say it's a 'bad' convention.. but for one that's been running for something like twenty five years at this point if you factor in years it hasn't run..; you'd think they'd finally be ontop of all these kinds of issues and mistakes. Especially the whole schedule issues that kept happening and throwing people off/making them miss events.
That and the folks they had running EF security this year were... dicks x.x Con Ops folks were lovely, but the security people always came across as rather power trippy/looking for a reason to flex their position. Made it a little unpleasant.
NFC is a much younger con, but had it's shit WAY more together and ready to go, and handled any errors that did crop up really well. It's pretty much cemented itself as my yearly con now.
Dylan wants to go back to EF next year. I think I'm genuinely not going to bother?
It's very expensive to stay in the area due to the hotel and local food costs. The heat was just.. unpleasantly high even out of suit/dressed down due to the time of year they're keeping the con in, in a country known for very hot summers.
