First I'd been aware there was going to be a reboot of the classic series was about a year back but with very little info contained in the news. Now the episodes are up on Max and Amazon Prime, so I got through the first episode and I'm really liking how they changed it to a serialization of the characters' stories instead of just random bits with little hints at the character arcs. It was definitely jarring not to have the classic voices and Shirley is no longer a peer student, now she's more of a empathizing coach type of figure. Fifi so far is just a background character but I imagine later on we'll see more about her. I'm going to have a hard time with another actor doing her voice though, definitely. Overall though with what I saw in episode 1, this is an improvement of the world and the community of characters.
