I came back on tonight just to peek in, as I usually do.
I had a shout from
missy_da_dane with a link.
I shall post that in a moment.
I have known Missy probably longer than anyone else on line. We bumped into each other in a chat one day and became fast friends. Sometimes people simply connect; and that was our case.
During a period of difficult times, I attempted to console my friend in the only manner I was able - I wrote her a story.
I knew she liked it... but I never knew the depth of feeling this story obtained.
Tonight I was truly blessed, and now my Thanksgiving is complete.

I thought of you on Thanksgiving - my grandfather used to have an expression he always said just before we ate: 'Root Hog or die.' Said as a statement it rather flows, and I never thought of it as an English statement until years later (my grandmother was of German decent).
