State of the cougar - November
Hey folks, another month another update.
Still healing, I'm told the hole in my side is getting smaller but I can't see so I have no real idea on how it's going. I'm walking a little better but still with low stamina. Pushing myself as much as I can to try and expand my stamina and how far I can go.
On the moral front I'm holding things together and trying to keep my spirits up.
Hope everyone had a good spooky season and got lots of candy to last them a while. Our house still looks like Halloween threw up in it but the pandawife really likes Halloween >^_^<
On the art front I'll be offering a sale for Nov, the theme will be my Star Hunter Universe (space bounty hunters) setting. Get your char drawn as a Star Hunter, flat colored for only $25 US or cell shaded for only $30. If you're not familiar with my Star Hunter works, here's my main character from the setting, Gunndis >>> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/9892271/ Send me a note if interested >^_^<
Well, not much else to update on currently, so I'll bid you adieu and hope everyone is doing well.

My best advice that I can give you is not to push yourself, but to take it easy and eat a higher-protein diet so as to encourage healing. If you can lay hands on a big tub of protein powder, Muscle Milk's Pro Series or something comparable, and have a cup or two of it every day, you'll find that it hugely accelerates the healing process. Great nutrition in there, and very helpful for rebuilding damaged tissue. Mix with milk instead of water, if possible, for an even higher protein content.
Glad to hear you’re doing well!
It's good that you're getting the bonus nutrition out of those drinks, though. That should help you heal up a lot more cleanly and thoroughly. Here's to hoping your strength improves quickly and things finish closing up nicely. If you're allergic to lactose, you should be able to get ahold of lactose-free milk or sub in something like soy/almond milk pretty handily. As for allergies to the other ingredients, all I can suggest is checking the list and building an index of what you can't tolerate. It sucks to have to suffer like that, but knowing exactly what precise ingredients you're sensitive to can advise your future shopping.
If you're looking for another low-effort/low-cost source of easy protein, try doing poached eggs. Put one cup of water and crack two or three eggs into a microwave-safe bowl, toss a paper plate or paper towel on top, and microwave for about 2-3 minutes; let sit for another 1-2 minutes, then drain the water off. Salt and spice to taste afterwards, or throw it on your toast. One serving like that comes out to maybe $1 in ingredients.
Best of luck with your healing. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop.
