State of the Cougar - November

Long time no updates. (wow.... 9 months, didn't mean to drop off the radar so hard there)
Last several months have been problematic. First the ISP would keep dropping making anything online nearly impossible to do :( Gotten that resolved for the most part we hope. Then, had my computer suddenly die on me... that sucked of course.
And now for the most recent bit of bad news About 4 weeks ago I got very dizzy and fell. This resulted in my breaking my right hip... I thought I knew pain but not until that point. They had to sedate me to get my clothes off so they could operate, Thankfully didn't require a replacement, but I got a ton of metal in my right leg now holding the hip together. A week in the hospital and a few weeks of rehab I am finally home again. Home healthcare has to come by a few times a week to check on me and see to it that my therapy continues. I thought I could have used 1 more week in rehab, but insurance said nope, time to go home unless you're going to pay the nearly $2k a day they claim it cost. (we all know they aren't paying that of course) Currently on a fairly high dose of pain meds which make me a little loopy and sleepy :( hate that feeling but it's the only way I can get through the day.
To make things harder during this period while I was in the hospital we had to say goodbye to one of our small fluffy children. Our little pom had to leave this world for a better place. He was about 16-17 years, so he had a good run of life, but he wasn't eating and would keep falling over. Was an emotionally tough time.
Hopefully I can return to drawing and such soon if the internet and computer behave. Need to do some creative stuff to help with the current bouts of depression.
Not much else, hope everyone has been doing well and I'll be trying to be more active again.
Thanks for being patient with me.

And sorry for your little Pom. We lost 2 dogs ourselves in 3 months due to health.
And sorry for your doggo. Take some comfort in the fact that you gave her a wonderful life. Many animals aren't nearly as lucky.
