its why i see a lot of artists turn to twitter and use things like itaku/fa on the side as more of a public way to show their gallery (twitter isnt very good for that despite the media tab lmao)

and then i think deviantart is more popular because its not restricted to just furros

honestly i like using fa because its quiet and generally humble :))

Twitter for the current owner doing weird uncomfy things and DeviantArt for the AI art stuff, not fond of either one... though fA isn't exactly innocent either, I still get away with the things i draw cause it's not 100% NSFW x.x

As nice as it would be to have more people enjoy what I do, I'd rather not focus on it, it's why I haven't posted a lot of the stuff I've made for others on here since it would make it less special and more of a ploy to advertise, it just doesn't seem right...

i guess the question is if you’re looking for a profit, or you’re looking to post something to a small community of like minded people for fun

(for me its a bit if both, and i REALLY don’t want to dabble with da or twitter if i can help it)

No profit unless I'm really desperate, but my current situation as a freelance artist is stable so it's no biggie.
(heck, so far it's only been friends who've commissioned me ;w;)

I think when it comes to FA, you'll get less numbers but more engagement. Like, people writing. Or at least that's what I observe. The social media-esque platforms are good for getting more visibility. This is more like a community-focused place where people talk to each other.

So it's more social of a media, gotcha~
